Finish work is where a project is judged. Floors that are flat and tight at every board, trim with invisible joints, built-ins that look like furniture, a staircase that feels solid underfoot — this is the last ten percent of a renovation and it carries most of the impression. Cabra Prestige Group installs flooring and finish carpentry across Nassau County with the same crew that handles our sheetrock, tile, and paint, so the sequence is right and the details line up.

Our flooring work on Long Island includes solid and engineered hardwood, white oak in wide planks and herringbone, refinishing and staining of existing floors, marble and large-format porcelain tile floors, and LVP for basements and rentals. Our finish carpentry includes built-in shelving and fireplace walls, custom closets and pantries, baseboard, casing, and crown molding, wainscoting and wall paneling, interior doors and hardware, and staircases — including the floating stair with glass railing and LED lighting shown below.

Floors go in after the sheetrock is finished and before the trim, and trim goes in before the painters — simple on paper, and only reliable when one contractor controls the schedule. That is how we work on every renovation and new build.
